I have read this book twice. I first read an older edition, then an updated edition which was not only great for review, but added some additional insights. The book articulates the fact that all people have some kind of worldview, but not all worldviews are clear, wise, or consistent with how we as humans were designed. As the author contrasts two major approaches, classical Greek and ancient Hebrew, we are able to trace both the source and history of the standards and values we maintain. Then we are better able to think through complex issues of our day with greater clarity and certainty. I teach both in our church and in a seminary graduate school, and this material has been invaluable on many occasions. Read this book for intellectual, moral and spiritual profit.
This is a life-changing book. You will learn to view all of life in a sacred way instead of thinking part secular and part sacred. I have learned that many of the ideas I have accepted throughout my life are wrong! The author explains how Greek philosophy is completely different than Hebrew philosophy. Now I understand how much of our culture has been influenced by Greek philosophy. Every teen should read this book!

A highly encouraged read for all Christians 16 and up. How can we expect to make a difference in the future if we don't first look at the examples of the past and learn from their experiences? Great book! I've never read anything else like it. It has totally changed my understanding of what a Biblical worldview is and how it impacts my life today. Read it. It's worth it.
